Just put my carbs back together after many hours of scrubbing and I find this guy hanging out...they are cb750F carbs (78).

Looks like it might be part of assembly #1 in this schematic.

It's in the part #1 group, Link Set, Pump. I think it pulls back the arm that actuates the accelerator pump. Looks like what I have on my '79 CB650's carbs.
