Where is the best place to attach a small led voltmeter?

Just got a new small but pricey Shorai lithium iron battery. Wanted to set up a little flush mount blue led voltmeter on my bike to monitor it. I am thinking it uses so little juice that I could run it right to the battery so it is on all the time - but I'm not sure. Any thoughts on where to run the leads? My ride is a ( work in process) Yamaha xv 750.

You'll be setting up a parasitic drain on a battery that is useless once it falls below a certain level. Not a good idea.

Crapola!! I paid about $3 for that lil toy. LOL Can't I connect it so that it's parasitic draining only happens when the bike is running ? Or I suppose I could attach an on/off switch to it.... Current consumption is only 5 - 15 mA

Just tap in to the loom and wiring it in after the ignition?

Yep, just wire it in the power circuit after the ignition so it comes on only when the key is turned. the meter is a good idea to watch what is going on so put it somewhere on the bike you can see it without taking your eyes off the road too long like near the tach or speedo, I have one on my old GL and it is important because that bike does not charge well sitting at idle and I can watch the battery and give the bike some revs if it starts to go to low.

I was just thinking about hooking up the one I got sitting here to the cl100.

mines got 3 wires. I think they might be.

switched hot lead
power lead for meter
ground lead for meter

But I will have to do a search to figure out color combo.
