Come on back to earth dick heads! everybody knows how to shop on ebay, it sucks stop fucking up the selling section here. if you need full retail for a part list it some where else. ive traded hundreds of parts or almost gave them away with a make offer prices. this is a forum full of friends or at least it was try not to make it worse
 
I agree. I've sent several parts off for nothing, or shipping. It's like "selling" to family or friends, you do it because it helps a brother out.

I've given away more parts and/or covered shipping more times than I can remember. If I ain't using it, and somebody else can, I'm happy to help.
Sadly, some contribute nothing else to the forum but FS ads.
 
Ha. I think Yinzer, brad, and I keep the local post offices afloat just shipping stuff to each other. Ha.
 
Need to keep all you guys in mind then...I've had good experinces on this site as far as buying parts, and I NEED to be cheap since I'm not in the US, but I have seen some ads in the for sale section that did make me wonder.
 
Yep, I have given almost a whole CM400 away on this site, just for shipping. IF I had cooler bikes I would be swapping parts with the above but my bikes are not, so I just get to watch LOL. It is sad but true, I have received parts from folks to for shipping or free and I pay that forward whenver I can, but there has been a few times I have sent the part out, or hand delivered it to a member at a GTG only to have them comepletely disappear off the site as soon as their bike is done and never contribute back. That is shitty. I hope it is because life got in the way and they will come back sometime.
 
I agree I don't go in the buy/selling threads much but I never real had to ! If I have parts that I'm not using and someone else Does and there a active member ill just ship it out ! What's the old say " What goes around comes around" and after MO this year and seeing what guys what for junk I think more need to help each other !

I'm tired of it too. I post up that I need forks and the replies I get are more expensive than eBay. Fucking seriously?

For the record If anyone wants any extra parts I have sitting around they are yours for next to nothing.
 
I havent sold anything to anyone yet but have bought a couple of things and all at "friend" prices from some of you, which made me happy to be part of the group here, solid guys (and gals). But lately some of the prices have been through the roof, there is ebay for that. If I had stuff that could help a brother out here, it would be yours for next to nothing..........its good to just see it get used somewhere else instead of getting thrown out.
 
+50. One of the greatest things about this forum is the parts you can find for a little more than postage. I enjoy seeing parts get on bikes so they can run but this asking "retail" is bullshit. One of the biggest problems I see are the "one and done" members. Just saw a guy selling a CL350 and some carbs on here. He had 3 posts to his name. He wanted full price for the carbs and something like $3500 for the friggin bike! It would be cool if the selling/buying section was locked until you had a certain amount of posts. That way it shows your a contributing member to the forum and not here to clutter it up with your "listings".

Some guy got on here once and tried to sell some crappy moto-related t-shirts for an outrageous price!!! Who does he think he is, Deus Ex Machina???

Right there I think sums it up ! Rich hooked Brad up with shocks and they didn't work no biggie . Then I had a pair I wasnt using that fit and gave them to Brad ! Then Brad dropped off a front end at my place for me to ship to rich to save on shipping ! Why ? Because no matter how hard of time we give each other we all want to help each other out !
 
And a few years back I distroyed a motor dreadrock had a r5 topend i had a rotor he wanted. done. then dread needed taller shocks and von found a set in exchange for alot of von current r5 charging system then outta nowhere justin shows up with a box of rd parts that he just gave to the cause
 
This works becouse we try to help there are one sided trades but in the end it works out. None of us are gonna get rich but none of us are gonna need a part long

I like the idea of not being able to post classified until you are a "vetted" member.. but I'd hope the same caliberof ppl who are posting bs one word replies on dead threads for the dcc discount wouldnt fuck that up too...

For the record, I love the classifieds here. And I love sending ppl parts just because they can use/abuse them. Very rarely will I post something I'm trying to profit on, and if a dtt member (who is a goodstanding member) wants it, ill discount whatever I was asking just because were all kinda family, or even better than family...

That said, anyone want some henry abe wheels? ::)
