XS500 Front Brake Issues

I recently ditched the rusted out mastercylinder. Also put a new piston, seals, and brake lines. I am not getting hardly any pressure buildup. I can see the piston move very very slightly but its not enough. I bled the crap out of them. No pressure. Any ideas?? The mastercylinder is from Mikesxs. Thanks.

A lot of times you'll get a bubble in the master that you just can't get out. Bleed the master by removing the line and holding your thumb over the hole while you squeeze the lever. Then while you're holding the lever, re-install the line. After that you should be able to bleed as normal.

+1 just did that same thing on my XS650. Also, it may help to remove the line at the caliper and let it fill with fluid.
 
When you rebuild the caliper did you use something like permatex caliper grease ?
 
I used a slight amount of brake fluid on the caliper ring gasket. Used caliper grease on the slide pin.

It's also used on the o rings and piston light coat that might be the problem?
 
I use a syringe to push fluid through the bleed nipple and out through the reservior. That way you're not fighting gravity getting any air bubbles out.
