Yamaha tx500/xs500 questions

Hi guys! Im building another cafe bike and i found a nice 1975 tx500 frame really cheap so in looking foram engine now, i read a lot about the earlier heads craking, my question would a 77 xs500e engine fit the 1975 frame?
