Shinko. Check motorcycle superstores website.

Thank you!

You would happen to know the model #?

I looked on the website the only white walls i could find in 18" were 120/19-18, they were dunlop k177 @ $155 a pop.

Also do you know the conversion to metric tire sizes?

I have 3.25" X 18 front,3.5" X 18 rear currently.

Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build

Tried removing the from sprocket off the engine last night. I removed the retaining plate.. The strocket will move freely in/out. But it will not go past the last 1/8" where it is raised.. Any suggestions? Do I need to have a puller to remove it?

Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build

I think I finialized the overall design...
Also the frame is at the welders. He got it up on the table last night... I guess I am going to owe him some favors after completeing this... So far it has been a little frustrating... I guess it was quite a chore to get the frame leveled and set. Because of the odd frame design..

I am not enamored of Hardtails, but from a looks standpoint, that is a very nice design. Classic looking.

Looking on ebay for a master cylinder/clutch for 1" bars. And came across allot of good deal on Harley take offs. They are 9/16" master cylinder. Will this work with the CB360?

Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build

My co worker got started tacking up the hard tail. Here is the progress so far. The bottom rails are tacked to the table. A rear jig will be made to hold the rear axle plates in place.

Totally unrelated subject. I got a reardrive pulley that I designed for a customer in from UPS today. Next stop Canada.

[sarcasm] That pulley seems a little thin, aren't you afraid it will buckle or bend? [/sarcasm]

A little overkill? That might be heavier/stronger then the wheels...

Looks awesome though...

It is going on a 1700cc v-twin. My motto is there is no kill like over kill!!

Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build

Looks like it would handle 800 HP...

I do like overkill.... 8)

Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build

are you using any kind of slug going from the original lower frame to the new tubes? id be worried about the tensile strength of that joint, the top tube would be pushing so butting that with the old should be fine. with my lower frame i machined two slugs to match the different wall thicknesses and so i could plug weld it as well as around it

Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build

I do not believe that the slug was used. Basically on top, sides with be plate gusseted to tie everything together. Same thing with the bottom frame rails. The tube is spliced into the hoop behind the back bone. I haven't seen the frame yet. But I trust my welder who is doing it.

What kind of bike is in those pictures jackoff51??

Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build

My welder made some progress this week. Still all the finish welding and frenching in the left side of the backbone.

Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build

Got the right side engine case bolts switches over to button head cap screws. Conviently I had the perfect size in my bolts bin. M6x40

Now I just need to finish my starter delete. I have to order a m16x1.5 bolt to remove the AC generator. And order a new gasket.

Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build

its Jake off ha. but that is my 75 cb500t has a 50-90cc bridgestone tank on it (which has been a leaking headache), the whole hardtail and dropouts are all hand made, most of the bike is actually. it was being built in my head for a few years and got sick of it floating around up there ha.

im glad to see the gussets, and your frame is turning out extremely nice. has the proper flow

Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build

also i dont know if the stator is anywhere similar to mine but i had a harbor fright slide hammer kit and the threads were exactly the same. also i know the cb350/360 rear axles fit into my stator as well to use as a removal tool. worth a shot to check.

Oops sorry about the wrong name.
Thank you for the compliment about the frame. My co worker has been putting allot of time and frustration into it!

I found a m16x1.5 bolt through McMaster that was $3 that I think should work perfect. I unfortunately don't have the rear axle with the motor, since it is with the frame currently. Hopefully get it back into a roller soon.
