Yes, have someone else do it. :D Seriously, the pictures don't show the tiger striping and the little imperfections that are in the paint. For the cost I would still would've had it done professionally. I just couldn't afford it. There was an article by a gentleman about painting his sportster...
hanly2: I used a slender point chisel about the size of the riveted end. Punched carefully with a hammer (and a rag covering everything) and it pops out. Just remember to keep track of the spring and be careful pulling the metal dowel out of the thumb lever as it will crack and break...
WoW! Coming back from the dead. Finally got the decals on with clearcoat.
New Latch for the tank.
I am currently rebuilding calipers for the dual disc setup. And sanding the fork tube for the brushed look. The bike is currently at the engine shop having the 555cc bored over engine put in...

:o
After that vid that IS one hell of a sleeper. I have been a V8 guy but the 2.3T is very addictive. I have the turbocoupe intercooler coming in and some exhaust mods on the svo. Working my way up to 300hp. hope everything goes great on the XR4Ti.
Since I am turning the other 500 into a cafe and have tons of spares, I need to get rid of a few. First up is a freshly powder coated Frame and swing arm from a 73 cb500. I have the vin plate and title. I am asking for $225 because it cost $215 to powder coat both pieces. Buyer may pic up or pay...
