Hi Mydlyfkryzis, Thanks for that... so when I touch the circuit tester to the back of the ignition switch, it shouldn't light up? That's good to know if that's the case... at least I don't have to worry about that problem... hahaha... There is a green wire that is coming off the headlight...

Alright, so I'm dealing with a few different issues here... I have rewired the bike and followed the wiring diagram... Here's what I'm getting.... I plugged the battery in and hooked up all the wires. when I test with a circuit tester. The Black (backbone wire) works so the neutral switch...

Thanks again Carnivorous Nice find on the CB160... another project bike? When you say straight pipe, do you just mean running a metalpipe off of the header pipe and then putting a silencer in the end of it? I've never done anything like that, so I'm not sure how that would work exactly...

Awesome... Thanks Sonreir... I actually purchased your R/R from ebay a couple weeks ago for my cb160 project... So if I buy 16 Gauge for most of the new harness with 14 for the headlight and coils, it shouldn't make a difference when I start connecting all those wires together right? Thanks

So as the title says, I'm wondering what gauge to use? I'm planning to completely rewire my cb160 as the PO had rigged up some funny business for at least one wire on the outside of the harness, which leads me to believe there is obviously at least one bad wire within... So I figured since this...

Thanks Habanero... I'll take a look at the site... And Sonic... no, not doing a 10/10 restro, but the m3 x 8 screws that hold the tank badges on are a .6 thread and it will strip the thread if I don't get .6 and go with the .5 thread that is the current thread pitch... would you have any...

Hello there... So I was curious if anyone has found a good source for the old JIS screws... I'm mainly looking for some (M3 x 8 screws with a .6 thread pitch) rather than the .5 which is the new jis IOS screws... Anyone know where to find these?
