    New plaything suggestion?

So... I've now sold my Miata, but don't really wanna ruin the Speed Triple through the grit infested British roads. So I'm looking for something small, that I tinker with and which would get me through winter. Got my eyes on a 1974 CB200. How does that sound? Any suggestions? DukeN

Little update Hey guys. So I've ground the instrument bracket to just the speedo bit. Received my Tusk switchgear, and it was not plug and play! I had to figure out the wiring from the loom connection under the tank and customise it to fit. I have now been able to correctly place the clutch...

    gs450 project from Aus

Hey man, I replaced my levers with shorty ones and an updated master cylinder. Bleeding was a right pain. I tried quick pumps and long ones that I held in for a few seconds. The latter worked better. I also found that having the bike upright/on centrestand made it easier for air to escape to the...

Today's jobs So I thought I'd make the most of today's 6 degree weather... Readjusted the gear shifter pedal as the previous was way too uncomfortable. Also bled the front brake. The I took off the tacho and associated wiring from the headlamp housing. When I get access to a hacksaw I'll modify...

Just thought I'd mention that the LEDs were rated for automotive use at 12v. I used the extra resistor to account for fluctuations in the voltage.

We have LED liftoff! Wired the new LED idio lights and they work. The angle of the indicator LEDs aren't optimal, but you can still see them flashing. Just gotta remove the tacho and clean up the bracket and the console end will be sorted.

Idiot lights wiring Deciphered! And whilst I was at it I thought I'd do the gear indicator wiring too just in case. Also made up the new wiring 90%, just need some male connectors and I'll put them on next time it gets warmer.

Spring time? Someone tell Mother Nature that! It's been bitterly cold in England, and there hasn't been a chance of working outside without losing your fingers to gangrene yet. Having just finished a 9 day stretch at work, I braved the 1 degree temperature to readjust the gear shifter angle and...

    LEDs replacement idiot lights help

Hi guys, I would like to replace the stock idiot lights on my GS450 for some LED equivalent. I've already positioned them where I would like them. My question is: As the LEDs are rated at 12v, do I still need some kind of resistor wired in? Thanks for the help! DukeN

Thanks for the support Sean. Got the headlight brackets replaced today and will get pics of that at some point. It's too early to say whether the oil leak remains-I should've checked before closing the cover but now it's a matter of waiting for any leak to filter to the bottom. On another note...
