    72 CB350 build - First build - spring deadline

So after about 2 hours or so I got the wheels laced up. It would have been a bit shorter, but I inserted all the front spokes into the rear hubs to begin with. Ugh! :o. I think they turned out pretty good.

    72 CB350 build - First build - spring deadline

Been a loooong time since my last post. Work has been crazy and other stuff is taking up my weekends. Finally got some things back from powder coated. Rims are done, plus some misc. other parts. Really like how the triple trees turned out. The are the color I'm going with for the frame...

Got to love it when you get home from work and one of these is waiting at your front door! It's my first order from DCC. I know there will be plenty more since there are quite a few items in the "wish list". Got some drag bars, front and rear wheel bearings and fork seals. May have to do the...

Yes, another CB360 Project - BRGT

My wheel bearings come in on Wednesday. I will have to remember to put them in the freezer right away so I can use your little trick. Great work!

Painting spokes today. Got some appliance spray from good ole Home Depot. Hopefully it holds up.

What to plug holes with for powder coating

Anybody have the best thing to plug "holes" (steering tube, swing arm bushing tube, hubs, etc.) during powder coating or e-coating? My uncles shop does this stuff and want to get the prepping done. The e-coating dips the parts a few times in different liquids. Not sure if tape would hold up.

The motor is running well, but there is a small leak out of one of the gaskets. I definitely need to replace it. The compression is good on both sides, so I probably won't go too deep into the motor beyond that. Just clean up the outside a bit.

I hit it with 220, 400, 600, 800 then the polishing wheel. Having a heck of a time getting in the fins of the hub.

Tore down the rear wheel. Was going to get new spokes, but these were not in to bad of shape. I cleaned every one of them. I'm probably going to paint them. I'm struggling with what to paint. Originally thought I would just polish the hubs and keep the chrome rims. Either I don't have the...

I was able to use the soda blaster last week. Unfortunately all I have is a pancake compressor. It definitely is not enough air to use this properly. Here is a pic of the carbs. They were not in bad shape to begin with. The PO painted them. The soda blaster had no problem taking the paint...

Got a little done tonight. Some detabbing and chopping the back off. Still need to do some grinding and smoothing. Also going to try and use the hoop from the center stand as my rear hoop for the seat. Not sure if this is going to work, but we'll see. There is a lot to remove from it and...
