    GS450 Intake modification

Thanks for all the input guys, I have not had a lot of free time over the past few weeks with the holidays and day job "Engineer- not a race team engineer, for a high paid race team which is a huge bummer". I have a coworker who builds high performance two stroke race snowmobiles up here in MN...

    GS450 Intake modification

Iam looking into purchasing a VM38 for the project after some number crunching. But no-one has answered my question about the tabs on the bottom of the intake. With my idea of an extended intake track the fuel will have more time to atomize and flow faster into the intake, so removal should...

    GS450 Intake modification

Someone here built a 2-1 using one stock CV carb and came out with comparable performance and better gas millage.http://nswroadandtrackbikes.com/forums/showthread.php?14088-GS450-Single-Carb With a low restriction intake a vm32 should be able to flow enough, with the Opposing GS450 crank...

    GS450 Intake modification

Another project is on the horizon. 2-1 intake with a VM32 for a 1982 GS450T, trying to maximize power out from a not-so-powerful engine. Using the metal foundations of old rubber manifolds as the starting point. The design is complete and the material are purchased. Now to cut, weld, test...

    GS450 1979,81,82 cafe project.

I cut all the frame mounts out from under the tank, welded in a flat piece of metal with 10mm studs welded in. Then I made a custom harness after I mounted the electronic components. All LED, except h4 headlight. The system is very lean.

It has been a long time since Ive' posted here but a little update. Bike was finished" to this point" about 2 months ago. I had a great time figuring out the R/R problem with a reduced electrical system load. But after two old stock regulators i jumped on a Polaris SCH775 and its working great...

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde ( a pair of KZ400s)

What are your HP estimates? I know you mentioned something about someone on the KZtwins forum hitting a good number, but is your goal to make that? Surpass that? or just get it working? I don't know if I missed it but what kind of fuel are you planning on running, basic pump gas 87/89 or a high...

You did a great job explaining your self there, but I don not feel you should even F'en have too. This is your build thread and you did not ask anyone their opinion or how to do this. You have shown you have the knowledge and will to do this project. People should just lay off. - 4pm rant at work.

HOLY HOT SAUCE! :o that is looking great! How many hours of design work do you have in that frame. Did you use any CAD to help develop your idea, run any FEA on it. This thing must be better than a stock frame and almost every way, it would be nice to have some tangible numbers to hold over...
