Time has come to move up and on from Central New York and I would prefer not to have to take this along with me as i dont get to pay much attention to it now. Not much has changed since i originally posted this. Id be willing to take $800 for everything i have for it. Hopefully someone with...
Sorry about that! Lets say $1400 for everything that i have. I came across more parts while moving things yesterday and will get a complete list of everything that i have and update.
Well i've come to the point where i'm realizing that my time is spread to thin and don't know when id have the proper time to devote to finishing this bike. It would have been much easier and probably finished if i had stuck to a more normal path but what is the fun in that. I'm not quite...
Reinforcing the frame is definitely going to be done. I wouldn't ride it either without having it done. That aspect has been in the back of my head sine i took the rails off. All i can picture is that it actually doesn't spin the tire and then twist the frame to hell. I was thinking of doing...
I am sure i will get yelled at for this but i eliminated the two side rails on the bike. I fit a gsxr750 motor in the frame and it was the only way. I was planning on using the stock 750 tank but the top of the carbs hit the bottom lip of the tank. If i have to seriously modify a tank id...
Has anyone ever used a rd400 tank on a cb750? I really like the way these tanks look and would like to use it in my build. Ive just been questioning the potential size difference and having it look odd on there. Anyone with some insight?
I am located in Syracuse,ny. And it doesn't have a title. The previous owner said he had it but never was able to find it when i picked it up. It wasn't a big deal to me as I was going to use the bike as parts.
Hey guys,
I've got an 81cb750 that i bought to use for some parts but my cafe project took a different turn and now the bike has been sitting in my shed for 3 months. The bike is pretty much whole minus a few odds and ends. I do have the carbs for it they just are not shown in the pictures...
Sorry if my responses are a little sloppy Im replying of my iPhone.
I was worried about the exaust pipes hitting but the downtubes run perfectly between where the exhaust is going to bolt up. I'll be sure to take a picture of that area to see.
I also was worrying about having problems getting...
Funny I originally am from Hollywood, fl and moved up here
I am going to most likely use the forks and everything from a newer sportbike. I'd like to have a little more modern suspension and dualdisks. But I still want to reatain the orignal spoke rim or one very similar. Mag rims on cafe...
Thanks guys! ill try to keep this updated as much as possible.
I'm going to try and get all the reinforcement of the frame done over the next couple days. I ground down where the welds were the other night and still am playing with ideas of what the best way to rebrace it would be. Then it...
What was intended to be a regular cafe build turned into something quite different than intended. I've has the intentions on building a cafe for a while now and when i came across a good condition 73 rolling chassis for a good price i jumped on the offer. When i picked it up the owner included...
