SoCal weenies unite!! I just got my bike road-worthy and am stoked I don't have to wait 'til spring to put some miles on it! Now that that's done, I'm gonna hit the surf again too..... Gotta get SOMETHING for the redonkulous high state taxes we pay, right??!! :D

That Bell is a really cool looking helmet, will have to be on the lookout for a repop here in the US....

Bike is on the verge of true rideability, just in time for Mods vs Rockers here in San Diego (this weekend).... One thing is that with the new tires (Firestone rear, Avon Speedmaster ribbed front), the bike is sitting higher and leans a bit farther than I'd like on the side stand.... Does...

I cut an inch (maybe inch and a half, don't remember now) off of either end of my clubmans, and it helps, but I think if I ever get the damn thing running and rideable again (don't ask), I'll take about another inch off 'em.

Probably worth it to get a brand new cable n give it a try then. Thanks!

Not a new cable, but just cleaned/oiled. Could it be the cable rather than the return spring? The spring I'm talking about is the round one with one end that goes into the brake plate and the other hooks onto the forward brake arm.

The one on my bike seems to be worn to the point that the front brakes don't release too well.... If anyone has one, let me know! Thanks!
