The engine is out. Not sure I specified this. I'll see if I can get a buddy to help thoigh.
Kinda off subject. I have a 1987 Harley sportster. The chain has rust on it and when I tighten it. It always gets real loose after a ride?

Update: after 6 months waiting for it to be in stoct the basket kit and trying to out the engine block together but ran into a problem
The piston won't go into the cylinder walls. I oiled it a little no luck.
Any advice?
Yea they were working fine.. I put the back blinker on first and they were blinking. They only stopped when i took off its counterpart up front..
But good news. My tach light is now working after i made the switch. Weird?
Okay well.. Went into my garage today to get on my bike to go to work.
And i notce some rust spots on the pice of the eginie i tried to clean... The rust was on the cylinder wall and it just rubbed right off????
i wiped off as much as i could but i was already ruuning late.

Also. I'm not good with the correct termonlogy. But the part that holds the vavles I should not do a bath with it becasue it will destroy the valves. Right?
The heads are off. Pistons exposed. Never got around to take them out but the rings look fine. Cylinders are in great shape. Probably no need to even do a rebuild...
I'm thinking I should just put the engine back toether and then degrease it and paint it and stuff.
