Here are the pics of the spline for shifter and brake. The distance from rear passenger peg to shifter shaft is 13.5" center to center and the distance from rear passenger peg to brake lever shaft looks like 7.25" center to center. Hope this helps.
Brake:
Decided to throw on some clubman bars last night. Wires do not pass through my bars so it was an easy job. Just had to drill two small holes for the metal clips for the ignition and turn signal housings to seat in. Totally changed the look of the bike and it isn't even that uncomfortable to ride...
Here are the measurements on the GS 425:
From the gear shift shaft to the rear peg mounting hole is 4" center to center, then the second mounting hole is 2" from the first peg center to center.
From the brake pedal mount to foot rest mount is 5" center to center.

Any chance these can be made for Suzukis? Specifically a 1979 GS 425? It has a rear drum brake. I can send you some close up picks of all the linkage and stuff.
So I am starting my '79 GS 425 project and want to get working on the seat. I am not 100% sure if I am going to fab my own or buy something from Dime City, etc. My question is this (for a pre-made seat pan): after taking measurements of the seating area, it looks like I am at 6 1/2" at the tank...
Got this bad boy for only $250 with a clean title. It's a 1979 Suzuki GS 425. It needed a battery and the previous owner said the old battery wouldn't keep a charge and his headlight was blown out. Turns out all it needed was to be grounded properly. New tires, all new fluids, carbs cleaned...
