How do I get a title?

I bought my motorcycle a handful of years ago from a craigslist ad in Texas for $100. Not running. No title. All I have is a bill of sale. I now live in Colorado (almost two years now). This is my first motorcycle. I don't have a motorcycle license, nor insurance for it, yet. I have...

What year is the bike, and is that the stock tank? I like the shape of the tank.

My 1981 Suzuki GS 400 cafe build.

The more I look at this bike, the more I fall in love with the colors. I just noticed the carb boot clamps, that attention to detail. So, what's the story behind it?

CB400T Café Build...but be patient this will take a while!!

The lines look really good. I am too afraid to cut too much of the rear off to make a loop like that. I would like to, so I could use different rear shocks. Looking forward to the progress!

I am more worried about the caliper. Been trying to find one on eBay, but all you get is: "may work" "worked when pulled" "look at the pictures" etc. I want to know 100% that the caliper works. I plan on getting a new master cylinder from DCC.

    How are you?

    CM400T Cafe >FINISHED!

Re: My CM400T Cafe Build - HOME STRETCH Thanks for adding some more information. I figured if I was going to buy brand new carbs, I might as well spend some more over at Motion Pro for a custom stainless braided cable. Still waiting on a email from them. Also, I just recently move to...

Re: My CM400T Cafe Build - HOME STRETCH First, what an inspiring thread you have here! I have a question or two regarding the carbs. I think I am going to take the plunge into getting the VM30's from DCC for my '78 CB400Tii build. I am tired of messing around with the factory ones. Did...

First bike, first post - '78 Honda CB400

It screws out. I had the same problem. I ended up stripping it, and had to carefully drill it out. The re-tap the threads to get them nice and straight. I'm still having idling issues but I think that is because of the pipes and jets.

I'm getting to replacing my front brake on my 1978 CB400T2. Has anyone here used a different front cailper other than stock?

    '78 CB400TII "Lucy" (NEW PIPES!!!)

Re: '78 CB400TII "Lucy" I borrowed some ideas from a couple of fellows around here. The pipes are a little too close to the rear-sets than I had anticipated. They're also about an inch from the carb bowl; how concerned should I be about that?
