So not a lot of progress on the bike itself. Recently moved into a place with a 2 stall and I've been trying to get my shop in order. Got a table rigged up. . . .Workin with what I have laying around. I've removed my stator for a cleaning. . I'm curious if anyone on here has built their own...
Thanks! Yea. . It was a treat. . . Luckily picked a parts bike up a few days ago. . Same size pistons. Hopefully it will all cooperate

Hey guys. . New to this and all forums really. I've been into all things two wheeled since I was able to pedal. Motorcycle bug bit me as soon as I had a job. Been tinkering n riding for 12 years now. . Not a pro by any means but I love it just the same.
I currently have:
1972 Honda CL450...
And I hear you on the eBay thing. It's my first R5. I'm just focusing on making it run right now. . Points.. . Etc. Pipes are stock but seem okay considering the bike sat outside for a whiiiiile. Most things just need a deep clean. I'm not one to buy new if It's just a lil dirty.

Cool. . I'd be interested in those pistons for sure. Do they take the dykes rings?. . I do have a complete tail light assembly. . If you want to work a deal. My airbox and boots are also shot so I can't help ya there.

I just got one as well. It's good to see somebody else is doing one of these. Unfortunately I need everything you do. . On the off chance you need standard 64mm pistons though. . I have a pair of new ones. I jumped the gun when I should have waited for .25 over.

One set of 2 standard 64mm pistons for 1970-1972 R5 350. Never used still in original Yamaha parts box. . Got a little excited and ordered them too early. I need .25 over.
I posted this in engines as well. .
75 takes them. . I'll pay shipping.

So i snatched these up because they're a little hard to find. They're in the original Yamaha parts boxes, . . Got my old ones removed and cleaned up. . . Lo and behold I need .25 over. Probably should have done that before. Got a little too excited. 75 bucks for the pair or if by chance...
