    Triumph America

Hello all, This is my 07 Triumph Bonneville America that I am just starting to wrench on. Nothing serious yet as I can't figure out where to start. On the way are 11" shocks (factory is 12.5") and Biltwell Keystone bars. I'm debating on painting the tank black as well.

    Can't understand cb750 dohc carbs

I've been researching how to determine what is what on these carbs and im getting confused. There are 3 screws located under the carbs facing toward the engine, these have little tabs on them that are able to make contact with the float bowls, rendering them unadjustable with the bowls on. My...

I used to live in Oklahoma myself. I wouldn't mind going back there and riding on those roads again, city life isn't as enjoyable as an empty road. Then again OKC is no picnic for a rider.

    78 Honda CB project

Re: 78 Honda CB project That is an awesome photo. Very wallpaper worthy. I've actually been considering repainting my tank white...I think this solidifies my curiosity. Sent from my SM-G930V using DO THE TON mobile app

    Another $300 '81 CB750c build

Instead of inverting the bars, have you considered indenting the fuel tank to make clearance? This is what I will be doing with my K tank to clear my clip ons. I'm going this route because I am trying to take down the profile of the hand controls in order to get a more linear figure.

    Starter solenoid woes

Oh yes this is what I've been doing since I took ownership of the bike. That's the only way to start it. The starter solenoid is brand new though. This is why im guessing it's probably a faulty solenoid

    Starter solenoid woes

Yes, the two thicker gauge wires are going to the corresponding locations. 1 to the battery terminal, 1 to the starter. It's strange, because it clicks and you can feel it click, but no dice. I'm wondering if I bought a faulty solenoid?

    Starter solenoid woes

Ok update. I've got the wires hooked up correctly I believe. However when I push the start button I just hear the solenoid click, as you're holding it you can the internal components shift and no start. Sent from my SM-G930V using DO THE TON mobile app

    Starter solenoid woes

Thanks for the quick reply by the way. I've got a new 30a fuse in the solenoid and I seemed to have lost power after connecting the wrong wires. I thought I had them correctly wired, however when I push the starter button I get a dull click noise, while the headlight turns off. Sent from my...

    Starter solenoid woes

Hi all. Well I've bought a new solenoid because the last one was bad. However this seems to be the only solenoid available for my 1980 cb750k. The connector does not fit so I've had to pull the pins out and I've no idea where each wire goes. I tried blindly connecting then by quickly touching...

    Cb750k for $300

Alright, so installed new coils, bench synced the carbs as good as I could. Pulled the plugs to check for oil and I find white residue on the tips (phrasing) so I've ordered new jets (120s since I'm running a 4 into 1) Sent from my SM-G930V using DO THE TON mobile app
