Re: KZ200 Brat Tracker Build
Thanks a lot. I'm probably going to do this with my rims soon so it's nice to see the process. The wire brushes were just hand brushes and not one for a drill or anything?
This is something I need to know the answer of as well. Are your forks 27mm? If they are from what I've found out about my bike it takes about 125cc of oil. Converts to just a bit over 4 oz. Don't know for sure though.
I want to go with the same thing; low rise (3-4") bars. I might have to shave some metal off the clamps to get some bigger bars in there.
Did you just use a wire brush on the side covers?
Do you already have a different handlebar in mind? Changing out the bars is something what I want to do but the stock ones are 3/4" and I haven't been able to find anything in that same size. I've found some 27mm (I think that's the size of my forks, can’t remember offhand) clipons that I...
Nice man. I have this thread going: http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=48533.0, rebuilding a '74 TS185. First rebuild but it's a simple bike so shouldn't be too bad.
Recently acquired one of these bikes in decent running shape and wanted to make a project out of it. I really wish I had taken a picture before I started tearing it apart but here's one that's complete for those that are not familiar:
My plans are to break it down (which I've already done) and...
Yup. Currently at the mq-9 ftu but heading to Ellsworth soon to stand up the new unit there. Been a MIC for 2 years now and it's totally different than traditional intel.
Ok new twist. Was just out trying to start my bike and nothing was happening. Measured the battery before even trying to start it and it still measured above 12.6V. It was turning over just not catching. I was measuring the battery while trying to start and it dipped just below 12V which I...
Ok, so I finally got a multimeter and ran the test as follows:
When measuring after idling for a few minutes it read 12.8V
When revving it measured up to 15.6V
Turned the bike off and let sit from 5 minutes and kept measuring all afternoon and evening and it was always right around 12.6V...
