you need to polish or buff out the parts before clear coating, because just stripped steel probably doesnt look all that great, some metals are really shitty looking like certain carbs are made from "Pot Metal" whatever the fuck that is, but it just looks very dark, like aluminum but darker.

The stainless steel bolt kit is not necessarily a god thing for the motor as the bolts are harder than originally intended and may wear out softer aluminum parts faster than normal.
