Like I said...A little sloppy from right up close:
But, Like I always say: "Good from far, far from good"
Tank Closeup:
My $3 Tractor tail light:
They sell them in amber, as well. So I'll be headed back to the little tractor shop in town to pick up some "Turn Signals" :)
My air filter...
Hey Guys,
Here is my $7 flea market find. It's in damn near perfect condition. I have wetsanded it, buffed it and polished it. I didn't bother getting ALL of the knicks out, because it is 30 years old.
It is a size large, and the tag says "12/77".
There is a "MAX" sticker on the back, but...
Here is the motorcycle related purchase I mentioned earlier:
Excuse the sad cell phone picture...I'll get the real camera fired up one of these days and snap some up-to-date pics of everything.
Anyways, I was at a flea market in Tulsa on Saturday and stumbled across this. I nearly missed it...
Hey guys (and girl!)
Thanks for the pointers.
The diaphragm is completely nonexistent. The only way I can find the diaphragm is with the slide, etc. all included. I believe that's the reason for such a high price. I haven't found anywhere that just sells the rubber, if I even was interested...
Hey BikeBoy,
The final product is a sticker. The style that I used on mine is actually a foil-like metal that is adhesive backed and printed on to offer an "anodized" finish. I am able to make solid color stickers, translucent stickers, anything really!
Here are the only pictures I was able...
I was able to work on the bike some more last night.
I reassembled my workbench and work area,
Sanded the seat,
Painted the seat flat black (Took the plunge :o ),
Painted the primed rim/hub/spokes flat black,
Masked off from the nipples to the hub, going to hit JUST the rim with super glossy...
Thanks for the review Kanticoy, I'm definitely sold on the bolt kit, than.
As far as carbs I need #7 in this diagram:
I believe it's the diaphragm?
I could buy a new one for $90-$120, or buy a set of re-manufactured carbs from Old Bike Barn that are completely rebuilt for $220. I think my...
Thanks for all of the motivating words, guys!
CresentSon - Thanks! The Black Accents are all handpainted with a fine hobby brush. Some of the edges are a little wobbly but it looks quite good in person. From 1.5ft+ you can't tell at all.
kadavenport - Thanks for the link! I'll...
I've been silent for awhile,
I didn't work on the bike for quite awhile coming into winter, but I'm back at it!
I worked on cleaning up the motor and began painting it. The motor is painted from the cylinder down, from the top of the cylinder up will be the same silver as the bottom. I'm...
Hey man,
I'm building a CB360 cafe and I'm out of OK, too. Your bike is absolutely stunning, with as cheap as cafe bikes can be, I'd go for a separate project.
I'm 30 minutes south of Tulsa, whereabouts are you?
Are you talking front fender or rear fender?
I have a CL175 I am parting out, and I am in need of a front fender for my CB360. Let me know and we'll see what we can work out.
Re: Project Gretta: The evolution of a confused '74 360
Looks great man! I really dig the fatter seat pad, too.
Don't sew separate pieces together!
If you're going to do that, just pinch it underneath and sew a straight line through through the fold. That rids yourself of a LOT less hassle.
Re: 1974 CB360 - (Properly Named) The Sterilizer (Help Me! 12/6/09)
Awesome!
I think I'll check the compression tonight and go from there. Can I set the valve clearance, timing, points, etc. without the ability to have it running?
Re: 1974 CB360 - (Properly Named) The Sterilizer
Alllrighttyyy Then.....
Well, I was able to peak my head out to the work area tonight for just awhile and sort some things out. I did more thinking and rearranging of tools, etc. than working.
I've come to the decision that above all else I...
