Well, as you will see in the pictures, this is not your ultralight, finesse build. It is based on a GL1100 and though I am trimming things down, it is NOT going to be light.

It's not often you get to cut on something that costs more than your bike to make a new part for cheap! I decided I would use an old helmet, if i could find one for el cheapo, as the basis of a mold for a new removeable seat pod on the yx600. Well... a buddy said he had an old helmet I could...
... and thinking it has the perfect curve to it for a rear pod. i'm thinking of getting out the dremel and cutting it up to fit. anyone done that, or used one for a mold? pics?
... if a chain/sprocket set are excessively worn will they give a sense of surging/pulsing when a bike is maintaining a steady speed? I get this big time at any speed, but it is more severe the slower the bike is running in any given gear. my 22 year old yx600 is wearing the original chain...

my radian does not have straight framerails under the stock seat. since i have no access to a welder, what would you folks with the experience suggest i try to make one fit? thanks!
