Getting bike going after setting for 5 years. Need some input.

Got this 1970 Sprint 350SS a while back. It was running when parked because some parts were stolen in storage. Finally getting around to working in it. Today I drained the gas, pulled petcock & screen out. Cleaned the varnished gas out of the tank. Disassembled the carburetor completely...

Picked up an old '70 Italian built Harley

Picked up an old '70 Italian built Harley. It's a '70 Sprint 350SS. It's all original & hasn't had anything changed out down to the original Pirelli tires. Should be a fun little bike to mess with & keep around. Should be interesting on the left rear brake/right hand shift. It still has...

    '09 XLN my 50mpg/78hp/75tq commuter

Joined the site a few years back intending on getting a CB550F or CB750F but one never worked out. April 2012 I bought this 2009 Harley Davidson XL1200N Nightster w/1,200 miles to commute, it now has 9,100 miles on it. This has been a low dollar build. Most stuff was paid for by stock parts...

Internally wired bars with extra drilled holes - too weak?

I originally drilled my bars for internal wiring and now plan on flipping them. Would it weaken the bars too much to flip them and drill new holes? I am considering cutting 1-1/4" off each end so the holes for wiring will be offset slightly. Just not sure. These are aftermarket bars which are...

Early '70's CB500-750 Daily Commuter 35mi one way - Anyone using it for one?

I am trying to decide what bike to get and I want a old CB500 or CB750 for my only/primary bike and just not sure. I have 35 miles one way of 60-65mph divided 4 lane that is not stop and go at all. I had a Buell S1 Lightning that I rode for some time and a Ducati 750SS, both of those bikes did...

    New from Central OK

I am new to the forum and looking to start a cafe racer project. I really like the cafe racers and like the CB based bikes. I have had a wide variety of sport bikes ranging from 748 Ducati to R1's to Buell S1. This will be my first classic bike as the oldest bike I have owned was a '93 900RR...
