Re: KZ550 bob/chop/cafe? <---all of the above so far... Nice, that looks like a great start on the tank. I've been debating trying some tank dents on my KZ550.

    my bobber build

Looks pretty good in there. Do you think you will have any clearance issues with the drive chain? Can't really judge how far it sits with the angle of the photo.

    Horizontal side mount lisence plate?

EDIT: At first I did not see you say you ordered the JP one but I'll leave this up in case anyone else is looking. I've read lots of good things about Road6Customs and now they offer a horizontal setup if you like the Model A light. Link Here

    MINE V-Star

Great work willie you cleaned it up real nicely. Do you really think so? I've seen a lot of sick 650 VStars. The thing that usually leaves the most to be desired on them is the tank still looks huge and I guess its a hard bike to swap tanks on, so the dished sides on this one really help out...

Looks like your moving right along but those pictures make it look like you might want to consider how much ground clearance you have.

    FZR600 fighter

Sorry to hear the forks didn't work out, sounded like you had a fair bit of polishing on them. At least you are taking it as a lesson learned. I love watching this build, actually all of your work is awesome! Look at the positive comments you get doing a cafe, a bobber, a fighter, or even a...

Project Chubby Betty - Custom Caféracer

    My XS650 build

Re: XS650 bobber Looks like most of your inspiration bikes have sprung seats and if that is what you are looking to do I've seen 12-10 gauge sheet metal recommended. You don't want anything that will bend as your going down the road. If you are doing something that rides on the frame like a...
