CB350 Built by a teen (Weld Now, Grind Later)

Man... why do I keep coming back here? I moved to Socal 3 years ago. Worked for Singer Vehicle Design for about a year before moving to the aerospace industry designing environmental test chambers. Have had a number of bikes and projects since I've been here. Restored a 1993 RMX250 2 stroke CA...

CB350 Built by a teen (Weld Now, Grind Later)

And just for all the haters out there... The CB350 has not been forgotten. I've been busy with school and work for the most part and I haven't even been living home with the bike. I wholly intend to finish it; I would never let that work go to waste. I will admit not much has changed over the...

CB350 Built by a teen (Weld Now, Grind Later)

Man... Beave wasn't kidding when he told me this thread got revived from the dead. It's been a hectic break working on the car, but aside from an easy wiring quirk it is DONE for the time being (it's not actually done, but it's not leaking oil as fast as I can pour it anymore and it is reliable...

CB350 Tail Light Assembly, CB450 forks, CB360 transmission assembly

Hey there everyone, I've been away for a while (working two jobs and attending classes has kept me very busy). Trying to clean out my shop so I can actually finish some things this upcoming break. I'll take offers on everything. I only have pictures of the 350 tail light; it's a very nice one...

Post a pic of your latest purchase

jesus that is a good deal. and they have them for the 450/500... so damn tempting. probably just a bit too modern for my bike, but it would look fantastic with a few changes. This is what happens when I don't frequent the forums; I miss out on cool sh*t.

    power to weight increase

Resist the urge to take in sugar and unnecessary calories. It's hard at first, but cutting out soda and treats is good for a few pounds in most people. Bike and walk everywhere, avoid escalators and elevators, don't smoke (may curb your appetite but makes you lazy as well... this is one I go...

    Not Working- Glum...........................

Damn PJ, that is just really shitty. Bastards have no idea who they lost (in my book the most knowledgable honda and possibly yamaha man this side of the pond). I really wish you the best of luck, and I mean that with ever last bit of sincerity that I have. I know I not only speak for myself...

    rd shifter kart idea

Karts are stupid fun. My cousin had a total bodge job RD250 that would scare the crap out of me (it was a REAL bodge job; if you went WOT you had to remember to pull back on the pedal as it would get stuck wide open... among other issues). It was a damn hoot though. We would take it around the...

    Unique fiberglass cafe tank

Somebody say tracy bodywork? I've got one of those... originally off an xs650... long since been hacked (I know, I know, it's damn crazy to hack up a tracy body) to fit my 350 as just a decoy (not shown in pics). Really is a thing of beauty.

    Operation: Shop Clean

That's what we've used them for. Don't need any more though. Simply drill a hole in the wall and pound in some rebar.

    Obligatory, "Bike won't start thread"

These bikes are simple. Spark, Fuel, and Compression, and it will likely run. Check that you have all three. Even if timing is off it should still at least sputter to life. If you have any doubts about the spark condition, fix it. Check that your valves are adjusted. Check that your spark...

CL350 ... snapped off shifter bolt from frame.

    >,> Really? The swingarm bolt is meant to be removable. Someone unfortunately completely buggered yours, and chances are it hasn't been greased in years. Now's a good time to get a replacement shaft off the internet, as well as some new bronze bushings for your swingarm to replace whats in...

    Operation: Shop Clean

Some of my things, only occupies one cart. Messy, but more of a storage place for unused old parts I may need to reference quickly. Parts on top are on there because we are moving things around; not their usual place. Back Half of the shop is my area. Only have that bench of functionality...

    Operation: Shop Clean

As many of you recently found out, my dad has a bit of a collection problem. Finally my words sunk into his head and he decided it was time to get rid of some things. And with that, operation shop clean began. I will upload the pics in a bit, but to fill you all in, it's a mess. We've already...

trek97... thank you, you saved many of us a lot of typing. mamastarfish... take note. If you really want this "look" then please use forks that had external springs from the factory so that you can do it safely. How you will find a set that is sprung properly for whatever bike you may have...
