    stripped shock mount

    i am in the middle of painting the shocks on my 77 kz650 and i ran into a snag. it looks like the PO stripped one of the upper mounts. can this part be replaced? i cant see any welds and it looks like it might be threaded into the frame. HELP! i need to get back on the road! cheers! david

    hello everybody, i am new on this board and would like to introduce myself. i just picked up a 77 kawasaki 650 for my first bike. i really dig the cafe look and style. after a little work, the bike runs strong and smooth. i plan to trim the fat off the seat and mount a better tail light...
