Yeah, I've read the threads on sohc4. A lot of those guys are getting into fabrication work that I don't trust myself to do. I'm looking for something that'll more or less bolt right up.

My plan is to fix the carb problems, put some new tires on it, and then ride it everywhere I go for the next 10 years. ;)

It needs either one of two things, in any of our esteemed opinions: 1.) the carbs rejetted with leaner jets, or 2.) new coils. It tends to foul the plugs under heavy loads. It also needs a new speedo, so if any of you find some awesome stash of Hawk parts, let me know. I also wouldn't mind an...

Yeah, my CB550F still isn't titled to me, and it's been months... :D

Gonna go look at it tomorrow afternoon. I will take pics. If it's as good as he says it is, I'm gonna put money down on it. I'm first in line to buy, so it's looking like bike number two might be coming home this week.

So I got another email back from the guy today; he said it's go almost zero rust on it AND he knows someone who might be willing to sell me a Hawk engine for about $75. I'm gonna go look at it later this week. I'm thinking I should probably just rent the trailer right now. :D
