you can also hold the expansion piece with some pliers and a rag(loosly so you dont bend it as it expands) prior to putting the mirror in and turn the screw till it expands enough to be a tight press into the bars...then the expansion piece will catch the inside of your bars and start to tighten...
So after countless hours trying to get my 350 to run the camshaft broke. so I rebuilt the top end of the motor and now it starts on the first kick :) I think something in the motor was binding it used to be really hard to kick over(previous owner of motor had probably rebuilt it wrong) It kind...
Not sure it must had a weak spot because it was when I was kicking it over. All of a sudden it got way easier to kick and made the wonderful metal on metal clicking sound. Luckily it didn't chunk off. Got the motor all back together. Putting it back in on Monday and hoping I can get it to fire!!
Im about to put my CB350 top end back together on sunday (camshaft broke in half!!) so i decided to replace my pistons and rings.. does anyone know a trick to compressing the piston rings without having to get 2 of the tools?
Thanks,
Mike
i think the diagram for the taillight is actually correct.. it would be a dual stage bulb... 1 lead for the lights on and the second lead for the brake light...just not labeled correctly..
i was fixing my quad one day and realized that the splines matched...it didnt have the bend in it like the stock 350 shift arm just flat...used ebay and got another for like 5 bucks... cut it rounded it and powdered it..good as new! lol
por15 also makes a cleaner that may work better then CLR. its called marine clean it was only 8 bucks at car quest. supposed to removed rust well. and once you rinse it all out use a hair dryer or heat gun(as long as no flam vapor is in the tank) to dry it quickly.

looks like some desirable wheels.....

I have mine all mounted I just need to make a bracket to mount the speed sensor this weekend..I think the instructions say 3mm between the sensor and the magnet.. I was going to pull the magnet out of the odd clip mount and just epoxy it to the wheel edge. Once you figure out the cryptic wiring...
Are you sure you don't just need a new bulb? Usually there is either a two bulb system or the bulb has two filaments in it. Could be the low power filament is just burnt out.
