    all you need to re-line it is some black nylon fabric and a can of spray tac. If the polystyrene foam is busted up it can be glued back together with white glue. I don't usually wear my vintage helmets once I recondition them. The material is usually too degraded. But they make kickass shop decor.

    there should be a date of manufacturer and certification under the hard foam liner. Reline it yourself. It's easy.

    I'm not arguing. I'm simply stating what has worked for me. And I don't agree that patch work has to be shoddy. I don't throw away forty year old tanks that can be saved.Epoxy technology has come a long way. Anyway, Merry Christmas all.

    The caswell kit comes with fiberglass tape to repair holes from the outside before sealing the inside. It works. I've fixed holes the size of a dime with their kits.

    Get a caswell kit and follow the instructions for repairing hole You don't need a new tank. Solder won't work. Welding or brazing would. Get a Caswell kit.

    Here's the info I spoke of earlier. If your motor numbers cb500E-1018728 or ABOVE you already have the upgraded clutch. If not, here are the upgrade parts: springs:vesra sk102. Clutch discs: Barnett 2012-108. You can reuse the plates but clean en real good. It doesn't hurt to mic them either...
