bikes loaded on trucks thread yoop yoop

Not what I would called slammed, but this is an old pic of my CB in the back of my buddy's C10 (terrible shot of the truck). Its pretty low, tucks a bit of tire in the back and more in the front. He has air on the back so you can sit it on the bump stops when needed, or raise it a bit if needed.

    Those stick-on seat pads suck

Yea, mine is kinda soft in the back end. I also don't plan on too many super long, multi-hour rides.

I used 1/2 foam, cut to fit, shaped, 3m spray adhesive. Mine works just fine. To each his own, i guess

my fiberglass seat build (1st Time)

Just go for it. Worse case, you start over. Here is a pic of the one I did. It's XPS foam, shaped, coated with epoxy resin. It was my first attempt. Turned out good. I carved out the bottom and epoxied that as well. the bottom is a wood base.

my fiberglass seat build (1st Time)

Definately sand between layer/coats. you can also do a coat of just resin and no glass if you need to.

Tail section / Seat I made, give me some feedback

I am tossing around the idea of using this one as a mold and making a few out of Fiberglass or carbon fiber.

Tail section / Seat I made, give me some feedback

Made a cut about 2/3 of the way through (on the top side) where I wanted the bend. Clamped it so it was bent like I wanted, poured some 2 part bonding epoxy into the cut. It is very freaking strong.

Tail section / Seat I made, give me some feedback

Just resin. If i had it to do over again I would probably add a little milled glass additive to the resin. With the base being wood, I didnt see any need for glassing the whole thing. The epoxy resing is very strong by itself, and the first coat bonded /soaked in to the foam really well.

Tail section / Seat I made, give me some feedback

Here is the Tail section with seat I made. Let me know what you guys think. I made the frame loop and aluminum plate to mount the battery first, then move to the seat/ tail. I used some 3/4 wood as a base. Got a sheet of XPS foam, stacked, glued together and shaped. Made a space on the...

    Seat Pad Question

I was going to go the airtech route, but i'm really cheap. Tried to find neoprene sheets, but it's hard to find. Ended up getting a closed cell foam pad made for flooring in a gym or kids play area. ended up being under $5 for a 2'x2' piece. its about 1/2" thick. used 3m spray adhesive to attach...

    clip-on tank clearance issues!!

Me and a friend made some clip-ons for mine using an old top triple tree and some old bars. That being said, mine were going to hit the tank very badly. I drilled and tapped the stock steering stops. Got some small bolts, threaded them in till the bars stoped before hitting the tank and used...
