Had my 1981 GSX 250 knocked before i went oversees,
it cracked a bracket which the battery had been grounded to and
subsequently cooked the battery ground lead when i turned the key.
I disconnected everything before i went away.
Now coming back to it 7 months later.

im preparing my old bike for sale, its a GSX 250 and ive never had a problem with it,
i hadnt used it in a while ( no more then a month) but for the sale i thought id replace the battery.
when i did, the negative lead sparked heavily, then literally caught on fire.
