I've got a set of carbs off a 77 cb550 up for sale. Carbs are clean and operational and should be plug and play. Make me an offer

Thanks crazypj for all your help. Sorry for any harsh words along the way sometimes I think I know everything lol. The bike is running beautifully with no changes to your carburetor handy work. ;)

Just took her for my first real ride, fuc#ing sweet! Now I just need to build a seat pan.

I have a new set of Shorty's and cocktail mufflers but neither works as the diameter is too big and they hit each other or the shock or both. I'm gonna give what i got a try

I built and welded in my own baffles. Tried to upload a video of her running but no go.

Wow between buying an incomplete wiring harness with no accurate wiring diagragm and no wires labeled and a year waiting for my carbs to be rebuilt which never even happened I've learned to not trust anyone lol. I'm just glad he sealed the float bowls with kitchen caulk, lmao. With that being...

I'm glad you like the idea Rich Ard. Welding for 10 hours straight 5 sometimes 6 days a week gives a guy lots of time to think. There was a hiccup with the wiring harness but should have the solution early this week. Thankfully salmon and trout are moving in to shallows to keep me occupied in...

Oh the joys of wiring. Planning to at least try and fire her up tomorrow. This morning I didn't care to much for the RFID ignition but now I think its pretty damn cool.

Received the new wiring harness yesterday. Hoping to have it all soldered up and electronics secured by end of day tomorrow.

Running line thru the nuts may have been unnecessary but it worked like a charm and the inside is very clean. Hung it outside to dry.

Time to rinse the tank. I made a tank cleaner outer so I don't have to rattle the tank around for an hour trying to get the last nut out.

Yes sir. Does it need to be grounded to the frame?

Got the rear lights on and they all work. Readjusted the chain tension to spec. Put a mirror on which looks a little big. Going to wait on the tank until after work tomorrow. The vinegar seems to be doing a great job, not that I disrupted it a bunch of times or anything.
