    New project begins CL360

A buddy of mine went back to England and won't be returning so I inherited a few bikes from him. A kawasaki kd175 enduro 2stroke titled and fully street ready and a project cl360 in pretty clean condition. I'll just ride the kd175 for now since its a first kick lightweight bike that works...

    Cnc lathe decision

So last month I bought a grizzly mini lathe new in the box. I haven't had time to unpack it yet. Today I went to an auction of a college that shut down it industrial tech lab and I won and auction with 2 CNC benchtop lathes. A prolight turning center computer controlled with controllers and...

    What are these shocks?

I've seen these a couple times lately. Are they forks that get shortened? What are they called? Anything I can guess is too generic is to google.

Your pick? Suzuki GT250, Kawasaki h1, or Sachs 125 enduro

So I am doing some horse trading with my buddy for a old broke truck I have and he has a couple options in the $1500 trade range. A Suzuki gt250 a Kawasaki h1 (500) or a sachs 125 enduro. I'm leaning towards the sachs. I think it would make a nice small brat bike. I didn't get photo, but...

    Suzuki gt750 ________ tracker

I'm not 100% sure on the direction I'm going with this build. But I took down my finished chopper and 2 minutes later rolled this beast onto the build stand so I should start a build thread right? Honestly I think that you assholes are wrong about what this bike wants to be. I can argue with...

Build opinions requested, but not necessarily accepted

I'm About to start the motor build on my 74 Suzuki GT750 water buffalo. You probably already know, but it's a 3cyl water cooled 750 2-stroke. I am toying with a few ideas. What's your thoughts? I know any of them would be a difficult transition, but I build a bike FOR the challenge of...

I need a mirror that does not suck

Trying to find an original idea for a mirror. Mirrors are pretty fukcin boring. Looking for something early (last) century. Brass is really awesome. Doesn't need a perfect motorcycle mount, just something I can work with.

Can an ignition stator charge a battery?

I just bought a 6 pole electrex ignition coil for my 86 cr500. I bought in a hurry and forgot to check details. It does not have a lighting coil. But then I started to think, can't I hook this source coil up to a reg/rec and a battery then hook the igntion,Cdi and pickup coil to the battery...

    your choice for fabricator gloves?

I can screw up a $25 pair of work gloves in about a week. Anybody know of a glove that can hold up for longer than a month? I use them mostly for mig welding but dont want a big gauntlet glove. I dont mind paying $100 for a glove if the stitches dont pop.

Foot pedals as a shifter & brake?

Has anyone ever setup a bicycle style pedal to rotate as a shifter and rear brake? The motion would be the same so theoretically it will work. I think a pretty large pedal and a snug fitting boot would be necessary for positive shifts. Maybe center the pivot bushings on the shift side, and...

    Monstercraftsman Brutus tensioner question

I just received my MC Brutus chain tensioner in the mail. My plan was to install it with a fixed axle than cannot be adjusted. The tensioner would be my only adjustment for slack. Has anyone had experience with this setup?

    CR500 , 2 stroke hardtail chopper project

I've being working on a project that's pretty unique. I took an 86 Honda cr500 2 stroke dirtbike and chopped it. Long way to go still but it's taking shape.
