I'm finally getting somewhat fed up with the way my carbs are tuned on the 360. I know they wont be great without the stock air boxes but I'm sure I can get it to sputter significantly less at low throttle. It bucks and sputters pretty hard just off idle to about 1/8 throttle. I have a 110 main...
Picked up a '71 I am starting to get back on the road. I wanted to install studs for the exhaust flanges rather than using the bolts that were in the exhaust. It looks like the bolts are 8mm. Anyone know what the thread pitch or length would need to be? Or is there a kit somewhere I can just...
After going through a lot of trouble with my CB 360 carbs trying to get them to run right I wrote a rebuild guide for these carbs. Just wanted to throw it out there in case anyone else wants something to reference with a few more pictures than the manual...
Running pods with 112 secondary mains. Idles great, is ok off the line with some sputtering like its rich, and then takes off and sputters around 5k and then pulls better after 6. Plug chop looks about the same at 5k and 9k as pictured below. I'm thinking drop to 110's and call it a day?
Anybody use these jets. They look the same and I know Rocky Mountain has served me well for my KX. They say they are aftermarket so I didn't know if there were any small details that would cause problems. Hell of a lot cheaper than buying a kit when I only need 110 or 112...
Hey guys,
Currently my 360 is running a set of the chrome 7/8" eurobars from dime city. I drilled them to run the wiring through and noticed today that they have started to crack around where the wires come out to the triple tree (not super surprised since I basically added a big stress...
My CB360 runs pretty good when cold. When it warms up, it idles ok and pulls good above 3k but the right cylinder has trouble off idle until above 3k. Also, when rolling at a constant speed/decelerating slightly ( both at low throttle) it sounds like the left cylinder is doing more work until I...
Just picked up a CB750 and was really excited the exterior of this tank and paint were in such good condition. After playing with it a little I have come to realize the paint is about all that is holding this tank together. The steel is thin enough that when you close the filler cap the filler...
Just picked up a '71 CB 750 in addition to the 360 I have. This one got water down one of the cylinders while sitting so the motor is froze up. I got it all apart and it looks like I'l might be able to hone the rust off and be good to go for now. Its bored 1mm over which from what I have read...
My cb360 has stock jets and pods, but with the float level set a little lower than stock (slightly more fuel in bowls). It runs great and doesn't pop or sputter at WOT at 8k (just richens up at idle). Looking at the plugs they look pretty good around 5k and maybe just a hair lean at 8k. What is...
Besides fenders/tanks and disk brakes what are the major differences between a 750 and a 750F? I found a 76 750F that has a 750 rear fender on it and some other standard 750 stuff so it looks more like a standard 750, but with disk brakes and what not. Before I start talking numbers with this...
Are there significant differences between a 76 750 tank and the 76 750F tank. I know the filler is different but do they fit the frames/seats when a 750 tank is swapped to a 750f?
Originally I was thinking of upgrading to a CB750 or an XS650 to make into a bratsyle bike, but bike prices here in Houston are ridiculous. Now I am looking to up the power in my CB360. Looking at rough dimensions it looks like a XS650 motor would be able to squeeze in there with a little...
Looking for a seat similar to this one for my CB360 build. Is there somewhere that sells something similar? Would something for a CB350 fit a 360 (are the seat pans the same)?
Found a complete, but not running '74 DT360 with a spare motor for $600. Wanted to get peoples opinion on this bike and parts availability before I pulled the trigger. Also whats a fair price for this bike now / fixed up?
Working on resurrecting this old 360 I bought for $150 out of a basement in NY. It had been sitting for about 15 years prior to me nabbing it. Originally got it running in stock form and cleaned her up….now working on making it a mild brat style bike that is still comfortable to ride longish...
The plastic plug boots on the ends of my CB360 coil wires are broken. I know they have an internal resistor and wanted to see what the options for replacing them are as I haven't been able to find a source. Also does anyone know what the resistance of the resistor is inside them so I could at...
Here is my cb360's plug chop holding it at 8-9k for a few seconds in 3rd gear. Opinions? I thought it looked alright. Tthats with pods and stock jetting #100 and some aftermarket bsa style pipes, maybe this combo works?
I know Pods are not really the way to go, but since I had no air filters with my bike I figured they were better than nothing for a close to nothing price….at least till I get everything else on the bike sorted out.
In order to fit them I re-did my battery box to mount the battery sideways and...
