Missthickmc bike & build up site finally finished! Nitrous & "Naughty" themed...

Hi, Really didn't do anything with the bottom end... We worked with Dynotune to come up with a good small shot to start off with, honestly don't remember what we put in initially now. We'll go bigger a little at a time from there. The nitrous is just for fun, so we'll play with it at the drag...

Missthickmc bike & build up site finally finished! Nitrous & "Naughty" themed...

Update on the jetting... Went fatter across the board, pilot jet one full size and the main jets one full size. Helped a ton, idles perfect pulls strong throughout the power band. Can still feel the difference in temp though at the pipes. So more work needed before we can do a nitrous run on...

Missthickmc bike & build up site finally finished! Nitrous & "Naughty" themed...

Wanted to post that we finally have the bike and the build up site complete! Members here have helped us with answers on the nitrous and the ignition, tank sealing and the airbrush work that made it all come together! We wanted to post it here on the dotheton first! The bike is a 80' DOHC CB...

    DOHC Clutch stack order...

We did just that... In a fish view we found it was the middle most plate. Little more searching and we found the explanation and why Honda added it. So in our case since we had 7 steel plates this double riveted one went in the center. Thanks for the help! Thickmc

    DOHC Clutch stack order...

Well I appreciate the link and the effort, but no joy for showing what I need to see. Page wouldn't load for us. We searched pretty hard before posting, kind of embarrassing that we couldn't keep track of what goes where! Thanks for trying! Thickmc

    DOHC Clutch stack order...

Ugh, somehow while trying to rebuild the clutch on our 80' CB750 k we managed to get the order of the clutch disks mixed up. We ordered new plates and disks, the plates were the wrong ones. In the process of waiting for replacements we got the riveted plate out of order -now we are not sure if...

Huge Kreem tank sealer failure -flaking and now the tank is covered in rust.

Just thought I'd update this... Have had and we still are struggling with this tank situation. We did the lacquer thinner step to dissolve the Kreem, still have some amount showing up even after several chemical steps. After the thinner, we then soaked the tank in Evapo rust, spend several...

Huge Kreem tank sealer failure -flaking and now the tank is covered in rust.

Many thanks for all the replies! After considering everyone's opinions and watching a few vids on using the caswell, we went with it. Primarily because it's an activated material. The tanks is a GS Suzuki tank even with our mods it holds well over 4 gallons, so we purchased two pint kits...

Huge Kreem tank sealer failure -flaking and now the tank is covered in rust.

We've used muriatic acid to clean rust from metal before, it works very well if you can keep the material covered long enough to kill the rust, but when rinsing the tank to flush out the acid we have to use water. No matter how quickly we can dry the tank, it always has some rust forming before...

Huge Kreem tank sealer failure -flaking and now the tank is covered in rust.

Huge Kreem tank sealer failure! A couple months ago we used Kreem to seal our tank. Heavliy modified and welded, we pressure tested to the point we had no leaks at about 10 pounds of air pressure. The tank was rust free, even though it was used before we started cutting on it, the tank was like...

    Airbrush portrait artist needed...

Now that our bike project is nearing completion, it's time to find a airbrush artist who can fill our needs. Our bike is geared to promoting aftermarket products and needs to be "different", in order to stand out. Originally we'd planned on having Steve Nunez of stevenunez.com do our airbrush...

80 cb750 buildup with nitrous -crankcase breather opinions...

Looking for impute from readers on opinions on doing away with the left breather assembly completely. The breather line above the counter sprocket originally went to the air box. Since the air box is gone on our bike, we've done what many have done before us and added two little breather...

Ideas for Rearsets set up! Needing help and inspiration!

Little late in getting in on this discussion on the Thickmc rear sets... But since I designed the Thickmc rear sets, thought I should say something... Hopefully future readers of this thread will be able to make their own decision... Some of our models do have a somewhat limited amount of...

80 cb750 buildup with nitrous -which ignition system and coils to use?

Quick follow up for those that are following this thread... Got with Larry in support at Dynatek. Talk about a fellow who knows his Dynatek products! Explained the issue and he came up with a workaround utilizing certain unused wires to allow more specific amounts of retard to be dialed in with...

80 cb750 buildup with nitrous -which ignition system and coils to use?

Well! Looks like a call to Dynatek is in order. Since they are likely the only ones who can answer the amount of retard available and increments of retard when using their system. Can't find anything on online documentation about it. CXman was the first to bring the MSD option to our...

80 cb750 buildup with nitrous -which ignition system and coils to use?

Hmmm, I didn't even think about how much retard it offered. I should have asked that question before hand! Too much would definitely be as big a problem as too little. Probably wouldn't have mattered since the Dynatek system was the only game in town... Any suggestions on a work around if...

80 cb750 buildup with nitrous -which ignition system and coils to use?

Well thanks for the advice and impute so far! Current plans are to locate the NOS nozzles right at the intake manifold just after the rubber boot close to the carbs. Using one nozzle per intake manifold. For fuel we added an extra fuel bung in the Suzuki GS tank. The fuel tank is heavily...
