1958 Enfield/Indian Trailblazer - Kustom Cafe Racer Project

Got the newly painted parts installed tonight and damn it looks good! So much so that as I was rolling my bike back into the car port after taking some pics, a police officer that was patrolling the complex stopped and started complimenting it and my work. "Beautiful bike! I really love the old vintage stuff." "It's a '58 Enfield Indian, I built it all myself." "You did an excellent job with it. Enjoy it!" :D I'm going to get some perforated sheet metal to install on the primary cover cut outs to protect everything and to toughen up the look.

Looks fantastic. I was a skull skeptic, but you pulled it off nicely. Bravo.

Also looks like you ditched the kickstand? I've considered doing the same on mine, since I've determined the centerstand is far more valuable than the loss of 12 lbs and a cleaner look, for a bike that needs this much fucking-around-with, often roadside. (not that I'm bitter or anything)

In a nut shell, it is a printed film. You lay it across a tank of water, spray activator on it and dip the part into the tank. The film transfers onto the part, rinse, dry and clear coat. It's really cool stuff, check it out!

That's really cool. I guess there's places that offer the service. Looks expensive to do yourself.
