1972 CL 350 Cafe Project

Shock bottoms don't fit dual spring variant of those shocks so I'm making new ones

Thanx! Now that classes are over for the summer I plan to finish this project and ride it!

Only one hole lined up but the bolt fit right in. A little lock tight or a lock washer and I think it'll be good. I'm not using the stock tool box so there should be plenty of space and air flow.

Side view. Lines are coming out the left side and should connect easily.

Should have clearance but I'll double check. I'll most likely put new connectors on.

Looks like it has good clearance.
What do you think PJ?

It's mounted to the bottom of the battery box where the regulator mounts (I think).

Now I have to sort out the wiring. I'll give you a call later today PJ.

The previous configuration wouldn't work with the rear fender so here's the updated version.

Looks OK to me, not sure about solenoid being upside down though, could be permanently 'ON'?

Really? Permanently on? Maybe I can flip it or remount it somewhere else.

Turn it sideways, should be OK ?
I don't remember how heavy duty the return spring is, I think it's pretty light

I used the original bracket so I may need to fabricate a new one. Work is kinda slowing down this week so I'll be working on this a little more.

Maybe I'll flip it over and bolt it onto the fender just a little lower than it is now.

I know I’m reviving this thread, but I’m finally at a point in this build (& life) to finish it!
