Cocoa is nice, very touristy area though! We all could've had a DTT get together lolHerrDeacon said:Geez, I was just down in Orlando for a few days on vacation, also went to Cocoa Beach for two days. Small world.

make sure the advancer is working ?
set the timing with a light at full advance ? both cylinders
replace the plug caps, new ones, trim the leads ?
check for leeks in intake maniflds ?
that'l keep you busy for a while
all of the above must be done, make it so

that is dumb dumb dumd stupid dumb :-\
Very true and great points made! I was thinking of doing mx bars at one point but I loved the look of the cafe bars lolxb33bsa said:they are way too low to be safe unless you ride around in a racing crouch laying on top of the tank,,BUT then you can't see over and around traffic
if you try to sit upright so you can see in and around traffic, then your arms are locked out straight eliminating safe proper control
the stock bars would be 100% better, slightly lower is fine some 3" rise mx/dirtbike bars are great
remember you are not on a racetrack
yes but jarno was not trying to negotiate traffic and even jarno would not be able to save the odd slide or tankslapper,or really manuever well at all to avoid an accident, it is strictly a very strict no compromise, very risky, racing position, designed mainly for a low wind profile, and cornering weight distrabushun BUT a completely foolish and dangerous position to use on the streets, very limited lock and a lack of leverage, very close to zero control in an emergencycrazypj said:Jarno Saarinen was pretty quick with handlebars at a steep angle
Personally I prefer a steeper than the 'normal' 10 degree clip-on which is why I made my own using cut down bars (to get the adjustment)
Dirt bike style is great if your sitting upright (I raced Enduro/MX) but I find leaning forward a bit is better for my back nowadays 8)
xb33bsa said:yes do it with engine warmed-up both sparkplugs out so it kick over easiest
tape the throttle wide open and reach in the carb mouth with a stick and hold the slide wide open
kick away until the gauge stops climbing
do you have a good working tester ?
xb33bsa said:yep and easier to kick ovr, leave ignition OFF
