1975 CB500t project

I got the seat just about finished up. It still needs some final touches with the file and then it'll be ready for paint!

I cut an 1 3/4" section out of the back side of the 500t tank and then welded it back up.

It looks a bit tall in the photo but it's actually sits pretty slim and low.

Well, the bike is finished now with the exception of the seat pad. I kinda lacked with taking pictures near the end of the build but here she is finished. I've been riding her for a good 2 months now and she's running strong.

looks great man! i just read through the whole thread great work.
i soon will also be done with the same model.

Adam,

The bike is nice. I commend your ability to work in such a small space with, judging from the pictures, minimal tooling. It makes me happy. I especially like that you reused the old tank to make your seat-tail. I own this model of bike and have been working on it too long now. I'm finally at the seat/tank redesign stage. I've been spending a lot of time looking at many different bikes. All the while I've noticed the spacial relationship relating the tail to the tank, but never did I have the thought to simply re-use the back of the tank. Thanks for the proof bud!
