Riley (my son) was watching him weld, or supervising as we called it

and a crappy picture of her all welded up, going to clean a few things up and shoot some black on it ASAP

I want to roll this thing outside and get some nice pics before there is snow!

I hope you got good ventilation!! black boogers and headaches all day!

hey man,
love the swing arm set up.
thinking on getting a wider rim tire set up on my cb500 in the future. if the 86 ninja swing arm fits good, then if i found one with the wheel still there and every thing. then it should be basically a direct swap right?
the bike is coming along great, nice job.
thanks.
later.

I would think it would swap right in, the ninja wheels werent very wide, so, there may not be any chain interference...

I do not know what size chain the ninja runs, the SV is 530 also, but I am actually running a 520 sprocket do to needing the smallest one possible.

on my bike, the swingarm is offset to the right 1/4" so the wheel could be centered and the chain also

Love the swingarm and the front looks better too with the forks sticking trough.

I think the whole bike would look even better if you'd place the headlight just a few inches lower.

Thanks, i will try it out.....I kinda like the big ass light way up there, but a couple of minutes and I can try it lower too!!!

alright, I have decided to re-do the complete wiring harness on this thing.

I have had this diagram for a while, but it's a pain to follow

12volt.jpg

So i decided to sit down with visio for a bit to design something that I could follow just by a glance.

simplified wiring.jpg

I THINK I have the regulator wired up right, IG gets 12V, makes sense to me since it needs juice to power the field windings....I think...
I know the starter switch originally switched the ground, but that will not be the case now.

i agree about the headlight, it would line up with the tank and keed the flow of the bikes line.
good work so far though.

alright, I moved it down, but only so the top of the light is at the top of the clamp, with it any lower, the top clamp throws off the line. I am liking it how it sits now

I need to get my wiring done! I just need to figure it out. what a PITA....even though it's easy, lol

well, I still don't have a picture, wiring has been put to the side to get my new ride to daily status

it's good to go now, so between school and work I will be getting back to the bike...

simplified wiring will not be too dificult to get together...just have to figure out what I want o the bike!
