1975 CL360 Rich idle

It's not that hard. Put CB500 clutch springs in it and don't worry about it again. It'll be much better when you're done.

Where would I get the 350 springs...shouldn't I replace the discs as well? If so, any recommendations on that as well? I'll check out the honda manual and see what needs to be done. Are there any tips or tricks when replacing the clutch discs? Thanks guys.

I was reading that using normal engine oil...I used 10w-30 when I changed the oil, can cause slipping on a wet style clutch disc. Could this be causing my issue?

deviant just told you the best tip.

Yes, get a clutch, get the springs deviant recommended, and get her fixed up right. Let your honda manual be your... well let it be your manual. Man.

you can get orig clutches and springs in the link below or get the part number and check ebay.

you can also use barnett plates . . their springs are a bit stiff.

Sounds good, thanks for your help guys.

Another question regarding the clutch. In my manual it shows 2 friction discs and two plates...also in the online parts guides it shows the same and just one spring. But, I see an awful lot of companies selling kits with 8 friction discs and four springs. Does the CL360 use 2 friction discs and two plates with two springs...or more? Or are these companies adding more discs for more friction, and the same result with the different springs.

Thanks again fellas. I just adjust my clutch today. Man the side of the cover plate was nasty...40 years worth of grime and rodent food. :)

While you have the cover off, clean the filter. And if you're so inclined, get a CJ oil pickup if it hasn't already been changed out. It's one of the supplemental fixes. $20 on eBay should land you a CJ pickup. It fixes the oil starvation issue while on the side stand, while helping better get oil to the top end.
