1975 Honda GL1000 Goldwing Rat Rod thing...

hey get it going

i got the last orphan done

right after teh show in charlotte gonna start on a 1200 that just fell in my truck

So, stock faux tank and I am probably going to reinstall an under seat fuel cell. Longer rear fender, and it is starting to look a little better.

I think that shortened rear fender looks pretty good. I gotta tell you, it's a real pain getting the fuel tank in and out of those things.

ahh

drop the exhaust

disconnect the drive shaft

drop the shocks

rear wheel and brake

final drive and swing arm

and the tank comes right out

put in new clutch springs while you are that close as well

Mocked up a new tank. Volume proves to be about 2.85 gallons. Messing with underseat battery tray as well.

Got a few minutes to work on this beast, so I fabbed up a battery box. Still need to fill a couple of pinholes, but not bad for a slag thrower and no metal brake.

Yep. I can dig it.

Picked up a vintage fog light that will be my headlight.

Also picked up this tail light at Mid-O and welded up a quick mount.
