1976 Honda cj 360

If I remember correctly, the manual says to push down the tensioner thing. Til the adjuster measures 15 mm inside the hole. hmmm I will see if I can find that part.

In the tensioner update bulletin...its figure 19 thats shows the measurement and procedure. I didnt have the "tool" I just pushed the lever thing inside the engine until I got it.

I just pushed it in and snugged it down so it will clear when I put them together.

Hey bud, yesterday pj reminded me of a Service bulletin update about the oil pickup. you may want to check it out before you install the engine in the frame. From the pic of yours I found, I can't tell if you got the old crappy style or the new improved style. Of course I have the old style inside my engine...so went to ebay and got the new one ordered.

heres my blog post.

Hey, I see a B.A.S.S. decal on one of your boxes. Do you fish when your not building bikes? :)

Not nearly enough. I do more deer hunting than fishing anymore. I used to go to Minnesota for a week every fall and fish up some crappie and some northern but that has tapered after having 3 kids. So pretty much deer hunting and bikes anymore.

Trek I'm pretty sure mine is the new one. I will browse my pics when I get home bit I'm pretty sure mine has the angled corner like the new one.

well guy it time to move on to the frame. Im going to stay black on it. I was planning on using the roll bar paint by VHT but Trek97's opinion on it wasn't the best. So I got to thinking and last year I painted my calipers on my KZ1000 with Rustoleum caliper paint. Its about 5$ a can and I put about 4K miles on it this summer and no chips still shinny and hard as a rock. Also its self etching so no primer needed. What do you guys think? Im working on getting my center stand mounted correctly then its on to degreasing and sanding. I have time to think about it but for the buck I don't think I can do better than that caliper paint. Ive also thought about going with a red frame but as of now black.

This is my test piece. Swing arm with black appliance epoxy. Still have to lay a couple coats of clear. I shopped and shopped and couldn't find the rustoleum caliper spray so thought I would give this a try and see how hard it gets.
