1977 CB550 Caferacer build

Big update!

Got my rims plastidipped & new tyres. As well; have cut the front fender & plastidipped as well. Looks great to me.

Have lowered my rev gage 1 inch as well.

Let me hear your comments pls.

Lookin good to me. Seat looks great and I like the flexibility that comes with plasti-dip. If you don't like it just peel it off.

Got the engine out & rear light finished

Will ditch the side panels as well. What battery do you guys use to mount in the seat,

Are there any boxes ready (mean you can buy as is) in which you can mount your electrics?

Was a pain in the ass to get out!

Not sure if this will work for your particular bike and frame design, but I took the motor out of my 350f (by myself) by laying the bike on its side and unbolting everything. Then shimmy the motor out and lift the frame back up minus the motor. Reverse to put it back in.

Managed to get some work done.

Welding a plate to mount my electrics plus battery

Welded a plate in the triangle for my ignition lock, bondo'd & sanded + primered

My rear light caught fire when welding (duh...) so need to order a new one.

Made a bracket for my license plate.

Engine is off for cleaning.

Only got a small cabin to work in (it's messy ! Primer was done outside), so here it goes:

Seat as good as done, just need to cut off some at the back, si it sits nice on the frame (without a gap on the side)

Currently reworking all my electrics under the seat, not that much of space :D.

My heatwrap is arriving soon as well.

Anyone who can advise where I can get 4 x K&N filters at a good price?

Brgds,
Elias

Lookin' good! Coming from someone who is currently in the middle of building a seat from fiberglass, 18 hours is definitely not a stretch to get it looking like that! Lots of patience needed.

Canadian-

For filters for my Z1000, I found the K&N part number for the kit that included 4 filters in the size I needed.

Then a simple Google shopping search, with the results arranged from the lowest price got me a great deal.

I hope this helps.
