1977 CB750 Deviant Hell Ride

Nice work, what did you use for the comfort part? I find closed cell foam from kneeling pads is pretty good for comfort and thickness.

I layered a 1/2" layer of closed cell foam, a 1/2" of open cell foam, a 1/2" of needle pressed cotton batting and 1/2" of felt. I also ran one thin layer of the cotton batting down the sides to give a clean, smooth edge.

Nice, should do the trick. I will be redoing the GL seat and I need it to be comfortable but not huge, My wife wants me to leave the huge ass cups but I don't like the look and also don't like the way they lock you in place and you can't shift around on long rides.

Thanks, fellas. It's not perfectly square (where the seat meets the tank), which annoys the piss out of me. Maybe that's a reason to have a pro do it. At the same time, it's important to me that every detail is my own mark. It'll have to do for now.

My first seat cover was crap, but I left it on the GL for 4 seasons and rode it anyway, my second was much better but still has some flaws. Funny thing is the third cover I made and installed was for someone else and it turned out perfect. I hope the GL one will be as good.

Here goes nothin'

You'll have fun with that. I always have to remember to use the longer shield on the positive (female) connectors.

I m just getting started on the wiring. The goal is to make it as simple and clean as I know how. Two busses, one negative and one positive will manage power. The positive bus is switched, and direct 12v from bus to coils and Dyna. Lighting and peripheries will be fused.

hay you know wiring has smoke inside, under varying pressure and flow :-[, THATS HOW IT WORKS ,SMOKEdont let the smoke out is a more direct way to express what im sayin
on another note ,erik wouuldja gimme a cuple tape measures of that turd woulda ? swinger pivot to rear axel and to bottom shock mount

Mmmmmm...this wiring makes me happy. I'm planning on using something similar on my 550. I think that when it comes to wiring simple is better.
