1977 Honda CB750 F2 brat: Finished?!

Re: 1977 Honda CB750 F2 brat from belgium

Well Hillsy I thought about that as well...
But it's still not to late... you can solder them afterwards as well.

I'm cleaning the engine atm so will look how the cabels are holding up in the engine itself.

What I ment with the old soldered ones was this:

someone had for some reason extend the yellow cables, no idea why

and thx for the feedback ;)

Re: 1977 Honda CB750 F2 brat from belgium

After I was sure the middle section could be removed, welded it and cleaned it all up

all i have to do now is drill two holes in the triangle so I can bolt a plate to the back of it

thx!

well drove it with pods first but that was crap, took them off and re installed the box, I didn't want to tear the carbs down again...
What a difference, the pods won't be coming back, that's for sure..

Apart from that I goes really well, just some shooting noises from the open headers, will fit a small megaton soon.

But really love how it looks and handles. Couldn't be more happy since I didn't run when I bought it...

thx!

finally got my (real) license plate so the first legal miles have been driven today :)

I was actually sanding the tank down because I had no license plate, and the day after it arrived...
So worked a bit extra yesterday, sprayed it with filler, sanded it down and primed it last night.

Next step will be the color (green from the headlight) with a satin gloss clear coat and black honda letters.

Also mounted a rear light after the seat, didn't like the side mounting that much... Way better now me thinks :p

also made a side panel for the electrics cover since the original one doesn't follow the lines of the frame which is a shame...

only thing left to now is some maintenance for this winter, renew the O-rings in the head cause the head is leaking in the middle were the header is and overhaul the forks with new springs and oil...

the bike is beautiful !! what have you done to restrict the rear wheel travel so the tire does'nt bang into the bottom of the seat ?

thx!

the springs are at the hardest setting now but I also have an inner fender (which you can't see) so it doesn't bang against the seat but just scrape the fender a bit (only happened once when my girlfriend was riding along and we hit a big bump and the rear shocks were at medium) :p

but I mostly ride alone and then it's no problem never hits ;)

hey thx, I really don't like bar end mirrors, it's like mickey mouse...
so that's why I went for an original one, didn't like it at first either but doesn't bother me anymore and its easier then no mirror :)
