1977 Honda CB750 F2 brat: Finished?!

thx
but in the meanwhile some troubles... found a little puddle of oil under the bike...
The longer oil line had a hole in it...

went to a shop in about 30mins from where I live where they mounted a new braided hose for about 20dollar so that's cheap enough!
unfortunately one connection was leaking pretty bad so had drive all the way back to let them fix it.

got back home, mounted everything again just to see that the longest line is to long!

so tomorrow another hour in the car to shorten the line...

but to keep the mojo up did some electrical work (never thought I'd say that...)

as it was

as it is now

maybe you can't really tell but "deleted" the right steering switch. Moved the ignition on/killswitch to a flick switch on the headlight and found an unused button on the hi low beam switch to act as the starterbutton

also ordered a shorty megaphone as the exhaust is shooting when letting go off the throttle...

Hey man great looking bike!
Got referredhere by another poster as I was planning on doing a similar paint scheme!
What color of green is that out of curiosity?

Thanks for the inspirational build!

hey thx!

the color is reseda green.

And didn't ride the bike with the kinked line ;) I knew that ment trouble...
But the bike is of the road for now. Had a leak on the head (the camshaft pucks) and when I took the cam out, saw it was really blue and totally out of spec.
It also had a K head on F barrels and pistons so the valves were touching the pistons.

So took the engine apart, sourced a good F2 head and the parts are now in the machine shop for honing, decking and valve lapping, maybe new valve seats.

Great lookin bike buddy. Really cool.
Im lovin the color green next to the gold on the clip-ons. A little splash of that color elsewhere would be killer!

I'll have to also agree that the green looks really nice. Great job on the bike, and I enjoy seeing those T3's also 8)

you're right about the gold though, some people told me the exact same thing before :)
for now, the gold will be in the engine ;D
Will see where I can add some details later on...

cheers ;)

well the t3 failed on me as well! lost all of it's oil due to a crack in the oil filler neck which then resulted in a big bang, rods going through the engine and a big cloud!
