Are these dual caliper forks and do they look like your 1978 CB750 forks or have they been swapped out?

My '77 forks look the same. I had wondered the same thing until saw yours.

check out this bike, I wonder how rare the bracket and caliper is?

Cant find much detail other than...
This bike was stripped back and mechanically restored before being fitted
with a new front end and exhaust system,
But it sure is pretty and looks to be the right vintage style that it should for an early '70's K2 unit.

So I found this bracket on ebay. Notice that it doesn't say which side? I went downstairs to my bike and the bracket is for either side and my caliper feeds and bleeds from the very top so it is for either side also.

I know some of you hate them and some of you love them. I like the fact that they clean up easier than spokes.

The tube arrived and it fit like a glove.

Where did you buy that tube for the seat hoop?
Ebay item, and it fit perfectly. http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAFE-RACER-SEAT-FRAME-LOOP-TUBE-HONDA-CB500-CB550-CB750-/181098508398?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D333005%26algo%3DRIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D12%26meid%3D6180993733434974432%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D1005%26rk%3D3%26sd%3D181094720843%26

Powder coating is expensive.. Almost $300 for 2 wheels, is this for real? Might have to do rattle can on this build as well.

Rattle can looks just as good so long as you do it right. I did all the paint on my CM400 by spray can.

And this begs the question, how long should a 2 up seat be, is 27" too long?

No shit... the caliper mounts are ambidextrous... well I'll be.

Yes, now I need to locate a couple of calipers that aren't froze up. Are the air chucks limited on the amount of air pressure they can blow as mine has 130 psi available but it feels like 30 as I try to blow this piston out of the caliper.

Using air to expel a caliper piston sucks. Not only can it shoot out like a high-speed projectile, often, it simply won't move at all. The ONLY way I do it is to have it connected to the brake line, and use the master cylinder to pressurize it and force the piston out. The master cylinder can produce at least ten times the pressure, but will do it without throwing the piston 30 feet across the room.

On a caliper with multiple pistons, after one starts moving, put a C clamp on it to restrain it so that you can get the other piston moveing. You want all pistons to come out together, because once one piston is out, there is no way to apply pressure to the other one.

I really like the looks of this two up seat and might be easy enough to duplicate. The hump as a single will prevent the wife from falling off the back.

So first order of business is to get the master cylinder working..

Just throw an old pad in there and use the compressor method, the piston will hit the pad and you should be good to go.
