your inspiration bike is a accident waiting to happen, the shock angle is way to steep and with a bump will cause that dreaded death whoble. jsut be sure you bear that in mind while your building

Yeah, that's what I thought. I will definitely be going more vertical with the shocks (pics to follow soon).
troybilt suggested no spring seat and that's the way I'm headed.
Not much progress, but I did get some steel tubing to finish the seat rails.
Also, I have a friend that has a waterjet machine, and I designed and him cut out a license plate bracket for me out 1/8" stainless steel.
It looks AWESOME! It's obviously not bent yet.
And my new Lowbrow Customs tail light fits very well (which means I can measure accurately).
I.m really looking forward to posting more as things move along, but I work for myself and I've been very busy of late so that's a good thing!
Well I've actually done a fair amount of work on the scooter lately, although you would never know it by my participation here (Sorry :-[ ).
Anyway, I promise more pics over the weekend. I did however score this jewel on eBay.
Anyone know of a nice 2 3/8" diameter speedo that will go in here? I ain't builden no speed demon, but I will probably top out at over 40 MPH. Haha!
i like that headlight and like where youre going with this... will be watching as i try to decide whether im going to be going with welding a hardtail or springs like you...
