Handlebar, it's been so good man. Sometimes it's a drag to do it day in and out and it's hot and there's Mosquitos but we've all been great friends since before we were into motorcycles. And that makes all the difference someone to push you, fresh eyes on problems, accountability.
Plus we aren't at the bar wasting money. All this wasted money doesn't end up as piss
Doc_rot just had a look at your build. That thing is cherry. The fiberglass work is tits. I've never really messed with it, scared. But yours turned out way sharp
Working in a fabrication shop has some real perks, like having a buddy sand blast and paint the frames. He did a good job even sanded the primer before laying down the black. Really did us a solid. And if you have access I really recommend sand blasting. It tells you so much about the metal you are working with. Nowhere to hide
Here's another look at the tailights Beerson put in the xs360. He ended up with two but you know how it is. Once you get one in you gotta test it and see results. These are crazy bright. Pretty sure he got them from revival here in tx
Luugo the electronics box on the cbs were tacked with MIG but all the bikes were welded out with TIG. Doesn't really look like it from those welds ha. Believe it or not I was a professional welder.
DreadRock, Hurco550 it's appreciated guys. When we're in the garage rifling lonestar and pounding Jamo we talk about it and it helps push us. Tonight we got the cb160 mostly wired.
It's got headlights, tail lights, horn, cluster lights and spark.
We've gotta figure out exactly what we're doing wiring the reg/rec to the stator and then we should be able to button up the wiring.
Welp... Done for the night in the garage, figure I'll make a few more post.
Back to the cb builds. We got the frames back from my buddy at work on cinco de mayo. They were so chiny and nice we had to lay a canvas down on the lift.
We celebrated in true fashion, not pictured is the milagro tequila and terrible hangovers
All laid out and ready for assembly on the 160. We used painters tape to protect the gram so it'll look blue for a while...
Forgot to mention Jarod sourced the dime city shocks which raised the ass end a touch and helped the overall stance. They fit well and came with everything needed
Here we are with the 160 really taking its shape. Ebay'd up a couple new side covers for the tank and cleaned up the drums ande spokes real well. We thought we were nearing the end but there ended up being allot more changes both aesthetic and mechanical
The welds look tight man.. thats why I asked.. really digging your crew and these builds.. Need some of my buddies to de-sand their vag and start doing this kind of shit with me lol.. Where are you guys located? And if you get some time man PM me with details about your helmet painting gig.. I might be in the market for something like that here pretty soon.
